Tradition trifft auf Gegenwart – lokale Form & Gestaltung im globalen Kontext!
Die Formsprache und Kombination verschiedenster Knüpftechniken, die Mareike Lienau entwickelt hat, zeigen sich in den Pouf_Charakteren erstmals skulptural. Wolle, in bisher ungesehener Weise geknüpft, gibt den Objekten eine starke Präsenz. Die Pouf_Charaktere tragen traditionelle Einflüsse sowie einen modernen Ansatz in sich – sie sind somit voller Frische und interessanter Kontraste. Jedes Objekt für sich wird in höchster Fertigungsgüte in der Berliner Manufaktur Unique Factory hergestellt. Es sind ebenso ‚bespoken objects‘ – welche für den jeweiligen Ort und ihre Funktion maßgeschneidert werden können.
‚Hilma‘ ist Teil der edition 25 – alle 25 Stücke sind durch Lyk Carpet nummeriert und gestempelt.

Tradition meets the present – local form & design meets global context!
The form language and combination of the most diverse knotting techniques developed by Mareike Lienau is shown sculpturally for the first time in the Pouf_Characters. The wool – knotted in a way previously not seen – gives the objects a strong presence. The Pouf_Characters carry traditional influences as well as a modern approach – they are thus full of freshness and interesting contrasts. Each object is mounted on a wooden base in the highest quality at the Unique Factory in Berlin. They are – bespoken objects – which can be tailor-made for the respective place and intended function.
‚Hilma‘ is part of edition 25 – each of the 25 items is numbered and stamped by Lyk Carpet.
